It started out chilly (55F) and drizzling this morning. Candy and I went biking anyway. Did 13 miles on the Rail 66 Trail near Clarion. Coming back the sun came out and it was beautiful. We ate at Sweet Basil's on the way home. I asked for a box right off the bat and put 2/3 of my Vegetable Primavera into it. 1/3 of the plate was way enough food. ( Read more... )

I had a big day today with Candy - a long (for us) bike ride. It was an hour’s drive to get to the trail. We went the whole way on the Rail 66 trail which is 13 miles to the end and back again - 26 miles in all. Today is her birthday - 66. So we did 66 on her 66th - I thought that was cool.

Candy and I biked 15 miles round trip today - nearly half of that distance on freshly graded old railroad bed. The road was "fluffy" and hard to push through - tires always sinking in a little. Not easy at all but we both wanted to make it to Leeper no matter what - and so we did. The freshly turned earth smelled very mucky in some spots. I liked ( Read more... )

Candy and I biked 15.25 round trip miles on the Rail 66 trail today. It was chilly but really good. Though both ways - out, and then back again - felt like we were going uphill for some reason. There are some really beautiful views on the paved part of the trail (didn't get any photos of that - sorry). I think they chose to pave that 4 mile stretch ( Read more... )
